STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t ignite, be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, then some other part will need to be fixed. The cause of the issue might be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner with no produce heat does not do much. An oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner doesn’t ignite if an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to fix these issues in less than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER PROBLEMS

It’s reasonable to assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer functions don’t work. If that is the case, we know how to fix control panels for LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on control panels and the replacement parts we need for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always want a hot oven. But not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to diagnose the reason for the issue and then fix it. Be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is when an igniter glows but will not light. The cause is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we can fix these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens can experience door problems. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door does not open up and then we complete the necessary repair so we can resolve the issue.
